Final Major Project - Fermentation North and South building
This was the FMP in my final year at the University of South Wales. The brief was a blank canvas, as long as we worked within a dis-used building. My choice was the Fermentation North and South building in Bristol, adjacent to Castle Park.

The brief I created was all about the community and surrounding office workers. I wanted to create a space where people could interact with one another and get time away from their desks.

The ground floor consists of mini breweries and kitchens where food and drink using locally sourced items can be produced ready to sell in the indoor market. Within the market is an array of different stalls and seating for people to either stay and chat or just simply pass through. The north side of the first floor sits on a mezzanine with glass balustrades, giving a view of floor below. The other half converts to a small gig / event space to rent out to the public, either for meetings or an event. With a separate entrance, this space can be used into the evening, making it functional all hours.
